Department of New Jersey partnering for casino job fair

The American Legion Department of New Jersey is partnering with the state’s Casino Control Commission to help veterans find employment in the casino industry.

A casino career fair will take place April 19 at the Casino Control Commission office, 1325 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Hiring representatives from nine casinos will be on hand for the job fair, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, the state’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Division of Gaming Enforcement, Division on Civil Rights, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the New Jersey State Parole Board will be on hand to help with veterans benefits and related matters, and Atlantic Cape Community College and Stockton University will be on-site to provide information on casino jobs.

All active duty, National Guard, reservists, veterans and military spouses are encouraged to pre-register at www.njccc.gov/vets but walk-ins are welcome.
